Starting his racing career in 1985, Pete raced karts up to 1987.
Moving into cars in 1988, racing FF1600 to 1995, he competed in Star of Mallory Park until 1995.
Pete also raced in the Champion of Cadwell pre-’90 FF1600 in a Van Diemen RF 86–89, scoring lots of top 5 finishes and taking his first race win in 1992 at Cadwell Park.
He also competed in the FF Festival 1992 and 1993 FF1600, finishing 6th in international pre-’90 FF1600 at Brands Hatch.
From 1995 onwards, Pete converted into saloon car racing, where it’s fair to say he is recognised as a front-wheel-drive expert.
Ford XR Challenge from 1995 to 1998 – many wins and lap records, 7 wins in 1997 becoming XR Champion 1997.
1999–2002 Mini 7 Racing Club – achieving 2 wins and a lap record, many top 5 placings.

2004–2007 MG Rover ZR – 2 wins, lap record at Mallory Park, never out of the top 3; more wins in 2005 and became MG ZR Champion in 2005.
In 2006 Pete competed in a one-off Stock Hatch 10th Anniversary meeting at Silverstone, resulting in 2 wins – heat and final – on a 40 car grid.
2008 – the big time was now calling and Clio Cup UK – top finish 9th at Rockingham, plus 3 other top 10 finishes, but lack of funds unfortunately came into play.
2009 VW Cup – half season with 3 top 5 finishes.
2010 VW Cup – vice champion with 4 wins and many top 5 finishes.
2011 VW Cup – selected races due to lack of finance, still in the top 3 at Oulton Park.
2012 VW Cup – 2 races, 6th in race 1 from 23rd; 2nd in race 2.
2013 Clio Cup Series – 1 win at Croft plus top 3 finishes.
Clio Cup UK race at Rockingham – finished 10th from 23rd.
2014 – no racing, no finance.
2015 Clio Cup UK Croft & Rockingham – won Masters Cup at Croft and Rockingham, with top 8 finishes.
Clio Cup UK Brands Hatch – no other racing due to change of plan.
2017 VW Racing Cup & Golf GTI Mk6 DSG.
Unfortunately, Pete was involved in a life-threatening accident, bringing his driving career to an end.
However, you will find him in the passenger seat coaching multiple championship-winning students.
